Meet the Founder

Hi I'm Angelene the founder of Diverse Girlz. 

I’m a Mom based in Toronto,Canada

Ive built diverse Girlz brick-by-brick by myself from my desk, phone, & my basement. The inspiration for this culturally inclusive collection came from a frustrating reality, when I looked at children's clothing sections, I realized store shelves were completely lacking true, joyful representation & diversity, which is completely contrary to the beautiful cultural diversity of our city & world.

As a mother, I wanted to immediately change the narrative and be a part of the shift in the market so I founded Diverse Girlz! 

Big brand retailers refuse to let go of the organic styles or introduce consistent representations of diverse girls on nightwear. so I made a huge commitment and said "I will". 

 

I believe all children deserve to grow up in a world where diversity & inclusion in fashion isn't just an afterthought, or a trend but a standard.
